Two days workshop on "Emerging applications of Artificial Intelligence in Civil Engineering System"
The Department of Civil Engineering in association with The Institution of Engineers (IEI) India and L&T Edutech inaugurated an All India Workshop on “Emerging Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Civil Engineering Systems”. The Inaugural ceremony was graced by Shri Ranveer Singh Rajput, General Manager, MP Metro Rail Indore Project as a Chief Guest. Three insightful sessions were conducted on the first day, featuring esteemed speakers: - Session 1: Er. Chirag Neema (Co-founder & director of Oness Infra Pvt ltd) introduced the fundamentals of data science and AI, highlighting their applications in structural analysis, maintenance, and project planning. Session 2: Mr. S. Thangaperumal (Subject Matter Expert, L&T Edutech) discussed the growing role of AI in construction, including design automation, robotics, and smart infrastructure. Session 3: Mr. S. Thangaperumal (Subject Matter Expert, L&T Edutech) also led a hands-on session on no-code data analytics using KNIME, enabling participants to explore AI tools without coding expertise.
