National Science Day Celebration 2025 – Medi-Caps University, Indore On February 28, 2025, Medi-Caps University celebrated National Science Day with a full-day event organized by the Department of Agriculture and Department of Physics. The event was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Kumar from IIT Indore as the chief guest, along with Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Dr. D.K. Patnaik, Dr. A.A. Koser (Dean of Academic Affairs), Dr. S.D. Upadhyay (Dean of Agriculture & DoPA), and Prof. V. Ganesan (Dean of Research Affairs). The celebration began with the lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by insightful addresses. The Vice Chancellor shared an inspiring anecdote about birds and highlighted the value of companionship, linking it to the essence of "Vigyan" (science) as specialized knowledge. Prof. S.D. Upadhyay spoke about C.V. Raman’s profound understanding of science, while Prof. Rajesh Kumar captivated the audience with simple yet thought-provoking explanations, including why the sun appears reddish in the morning and how the fundamental forces of nature are intuitively understood from childhood. The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 200 school children, students, and faculty members. A scientific quiz competition was also held, adding excitement and encouraging young minds to engage with science. Additionally, students had the opportunity to visit various departments, including Forensic Science, Biotechnology, Physics, and Chemistry, and also participated in an agriculture field visit, gaining hands-on exposure to different scientific domains.
