Mathematics Week 2025 got underway with a bang! The inaugural ceremony, held on 27 January 2026, at the Mini Auditorium, set the tone for an exciting week of math-related events. The ceremony began with a warm welcome address by Dr. Rekha Jain, Associate Dean of Science, followed by an inspiring speech by our Honorable Vice Chancellor, Dr. D.K. Patnaik, highlighting the significance of mathematics in shaping our understanding of the world. The keynote lecture by Dr. Neeraj Shukla, Professor, IIT Indore, sparked interesting discussions and debates among attendees. Students and faculty members alike were engaged and enthusiastic, making it a truly interactive session. The speaker's thought-provoking insights and real-world examples brought math to life, showcasing its beauty and relevance. The logo of the Maths Club was also revealed during the inaugural ceremony. Moving on to the games - "What If", the mathematical game, is on! Round 1 wrapped up successfully; stay tuned for more fun and challenges ahead! The Math Week celebrations, organized by the Department of Mathematics, aim to foster a deeper appreciation for mathematics among students and faculty.
