Industrial Visit to Mohanpura Multipurpose Irrigation Dam Project, Rajgarh The Department of Civil Engineering, in association with the Medicaps Alumni Association, organized an industrial visit to the Mohanpura Multipurpose Irrigation Dam Project in Rajgarh. Our esteemed 2016 Civil Engineering alumni, Er. Arpit Saxena (Assistant Engineer) and Er. Atul Sharma (Assistant Engineer, RES Department), who are currently posted at the project, guided the visit. During the visit, Er. Arpit Saxena provided an in-depth overview of the Mohanpura Dam and its irrigation facilities. Participants explored key components such as the dam gallery and pump house, gaining both theoretical and practical insights into its operation. As a highlight of the visit, one of the dam gates was opened to demonstrate critical aspects of dam functioning, including hydraulic jumps, spillways, and water flow management. To conclude the visit, Er. Vikas Rajoriya (Executive Engineer) delivered a detailed presentation on the Mohanpura Multipurpose Irrigation Project, discussing its economic and social impact on the Rajgarh district.
