Medicaps University organized a competition “Invention from Remains” on 10th May 2025, in which the creativity and innovation capability of non-academic staff was encouraged. The participants prepared useful models and artifacts from the useless items (scrap) available in the university campus, in which the creations based on environmental protection, energy conservation and topics related to the institute were the center of special attraction. This platform recognized the employees as creators. The chief guest of the program, Honorable Chancellor Mr. R.C. Mittal said that the real power of the institute is hidden in every member working in it, and such events provide an opportunity to recognize that power. He also talked about continuously encouraging such platforms in future. Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Dilip Kumar Patnaik, University Advisor Mr. Akshat Garg, OSD to Chancellor Mr. Palash Garg, Mrs. Sumita Patnaik, Registrar Mr. Panneerselvam Siluvainathan, and Public Relations Director Mr. Sujit Singhal added to the dignity of the platform. The jury comprising of Mrs. Sumita Patnaik and Mr. Palash Garg evaluated the efforts of the participants. The event was successfully organised by the Innovation Centre headed by Dr. Sarita Kansal and Dr. Akbar Ali. They said that this competition promotes creativity as well as the culture of reuse of resources. "Team Navsarjan" (Central Library) stood first in the competition. "Team Prayas" (Mechanical Engineering Department) was declared the first runner-up and "Team 8085 Circuit" (Electronics Department) was declared the second runner-up.
