Educational Visit to Amlatha Village, District Khargone

An exposure visit to Amlatha village, District Khargone, was conducted on March 1st, 2025, for the B.Sc. (Hons. Agriculture students. The objective was to gain practical knowledge on advanced techniques in sugarcane cultivation. The visit aimed to accomplish the following key objectives - Demonstration of intercropping with sugarcane variety Co-8436 5x5 RXR and Dollar Gram JG-955, showcasing the use of 3-eye buds. Intercropping of sugarcane with green gram on the 2nd ratoon of sugarcane. Insights into drip irrigation and fertigation techniques. The students were guided by agricultural experts and progressive farmers, including Shri Bhupendra Chauhan, Shri Kailash Singh Chauhan, and Shri Vijay Singh, Assistant Cane Manager from Shri Jawaharlal Nehru Sugar Factory, Boravan, District Khargone. They shared valuable insights on intercropping, sugarcane ratooning, and the sugarcane processing process.
