Outreach Activity Old Age Home Visit

Venue: Old Age Home (community outreach visit)

Organised by: Department of Physics in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS), Medicaps University

In collaboration with the NSS, the Department organised a visit to an old age home, an activity that had little to do with physics and everything to do with the kind of people we hope our students become. Students spent the day with the elderly residents: talking, listening to their life stories, and simply offering company. The feedback afterwards was heartfelt; students called it one of the most meaningful experiences of their year, and more than 90% said they would gladly join similar outreach activities again. The visit quietly did its work of nurturing empathy, compassion, and social responsibility.
