Program Overview

The B.Sc. (Hons) in Respiratory Technology is a specialized undergraduate program designed to train students in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.

The program focuses on building a strong foundation in human anatomy, physiology, pulmonary medicine, and respiratory care techniques. Students are trained to operate advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, oxygen therapy devices, and pulmonary function testing systems.

The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with practical exposure, enabling students to develop hands-on skills in critical care, emergency response, and patient monitoring. Emphasis is placed on intensive care unit (ICU) practices, respiratory therapy procedures, and life-support systems.

Through clinical training, hospital internships, and real-world exposure, students gain the expertise required to assist doctors and healthcare teams in managing patients with respiratory conditions. The program prepares graduates to work in hospitals, critical care units, and specialized respiratory care centers.
