Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Medicaps Institute of Technology and Management (MITM) was established in 2000 with an initial intake of 60 students in the B.E.(CSE) program.

Medicap University

The intake was increased to 120 in 2006, and in 2007 a program for M.Tech (CSE) with 18 seats was added. In 2009, Medicaps Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) was established, with an intake of 180 in BE (CSE) and 18 seats in M.Tech (CSE), and both colleges became part of the Medicaps Group of Institution (MGI).

In 2016, Medicaps University (MU) was established and adopted both MITM and MIST, and started offering Ph.D in CSE.

Inculcate the innovative thinking in Computer Science and Engineering graduates with domain knowledge and skills to address contemporary industrial and social requirements.

Mission
  • To develop outstanding engineers who are well versed in the theory and practice of the Computer Science and Engineering department.
  • To follow a holistic systems approach through a Total Quality Management framework targeting excellence, initiative, creativity, and innovation so as to ensure competence in the discipline of Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in emerging fields.
  • To uphold the highest ethical standards in one’s professional career by inculcating moral values, creating willingness to work with one’s hands, promoting respect for dignity of labour and a spirit of self-sacrifice in the service of humanity.
  • To contribute to national development by meeting its industrial needs through empowerment of the marginalized sections of society, and to build economy through frugal innovation anchored in the principle of achieving more with less.
