FMS learning extends way beyond classes. An active network of student clubs is one of the key factors in developing managerial competence in the form of ongoing activities using case competitions, simulations, management games, live projects, workshops, and peer-learning programs. These clubs are a form of leadership incubation, which allows students to work together, be creative and implement theoretical concepts in practice.
Experiential learning is also enhanced by frequent visits to the industry where the students are exposed first hand to manufacturing units, corporate offices, financial institutions, logistics hubs and service organisations. Such tours assist students in HR, Finance, LSCM, Marketing, and Analytics with the idea of knowing the organisational processes, workforce dynamics, financial systems, supply chains, and data-driven decision-making, the gap between theory and practice.
Academic and co-curricular activities like Parivartan and Vichar Utsav, are carefully planned to enhance the campus life. Parivartan is the official reception and orientation of the MBA students and they get accustomed to the academic culture of the institution whereas Vichar Utsav is dedicated to the development of entrepreneurial thinking, innovation and problem solving which allows students to think outside the box and to collaborate and ideate with their peers.
Close industry involvement is one of the characteristics of FMS. Programs such as the Emerging Leader Conclave, which are hosted with the partnership of the Indian Management Association (IMA), provide students with a good exposure towards leadership but also in professional ethics and new business trends. Moreover, MoUs with the well-known institutions like ICSI, the IMA, and NISM allow certification programs, lectures of the experts, workshops, and skill-based training in the sphere of finance, governance, compliance, management, and analytics.
The exposure on the global level introduces another valuable aspect in the learning process. The international student exchange program helps students to have cross-cultural understanding and insights into the global business. It is noteworthy that, one of the students was recently selected to represent the Medicaps University in Malaysia and this is a show of how the institution believes in internationalisation and global competence.
The faculty also fosters a strong research culture by organizing such conferences as the International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2025 ) where national and international academicians, researchers, and industry gurus can discuss the relevant issues of their fields and create knowledge.
